MY INSPIRATION FOR SEA LIFE LOVE
I'm Linda Symmonds, and I'm delighted to welcome you to our Start Some Good campaign. I'm launching my new company Sea Life Love out of a deep desire to help save our sea life from the ever-increasing human threats to their health and habitats. I’ve been an animal lover all my life, and our planet's wondrous array of sea life has forever fascinated me – from tiny little seahorses to gargantuan and majestic blue whales!
My home state of Florida is known for our beloved manatees, a.k.a, sea cows, whose gentle natures and friendly faces easily capture hearts. Furthermore, living within walking distance of the 2nd-largest sea turtle nesting grounds in the world has been an amazing experience, and I have come to learn a lot about these unique and incredible sea creatures. Sea life brings me, and so many others, a sense of joy. ❤️
THE PROBLEM
I have become increasingly aware that we have a big problem, and I want to help. Our planet is drowning in plastic; we have a lot of work to do to fix this issue before it spins further out of control. After watching the documentary Plastic Ocean, I felt compelled to do something to help our imperiled marine ecosystems.
Sea creatures can't speak for themselves, but in today's world, we know they are suffering! Together we can make a difference for them, but we need your help. ❤️

Our first-ever, Special Edition ‘Friends of the Ocean’ bag contains 4 panels featuring different artwork on each panel, as well as a handy inside pocket.

The first batch of bags are ready to be produced, and will be shipped before Christmas, making them perfect present ideas as well! Note: Shipping is only possible to U.S. states (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). At this time we cannot ship internationally.
We believe in giving back, so during this campaign, 12% of every contribution made by supporters will be donated to our beneficiary, Surfrider Foundation, which has been working at a grassroots level to keep our oceans clean for over 25 years.
Surfrider Foundation's activism model includes a priority focus on prevention – stopping plastic pollution from entering our waters in the first place. Surfrider Foundation works to protect and preserve the world's oceans, waves, and beaches, helping sustain marine and coastal ecosystems for the health and safety of both humans and sea life. Among Surfrider Foundation's primary activities are beach cleanups. Keeping beaches clean is crucial – it stops bits and pieces of plastic and other human pollution from washing back in or entering our waters in the first place.
