Are you an audacious dreamer?
Do you want to make a difference in the world?
Do you question, “the way things have always been done” and have ideas about “doing things differently to create improved outcomes”?
Are you looking for tools and connections to help you bring about change?
If you identify with any or all of those questions above, then the School for Civic Action is for you and you’re invited to join our next event-
Press for Change
Press for Change will be hosted by the School for Civic Action on Sunday Nov 10th 2013 from 10-4pm in Adelaide at Blank Space at the east end of Rundle St.
Why Press for Change, why now?
Im passionate about enabling people to discover how they can be agents of change and Im starting the School for Civic Action to overcome the tools & connections gap that Ive seen during my work over the past ten years as a tertiary educator
and changemaker. I’ve been inspired by the people Ive met who dream for change and Im keen to support them and others like them to explore their potential, expand their skillset and create a community of support to realise their ideas for change in the process.
If this sounds like you- then come along to Press for Change, we’re waiting to meet you!
Press for Change will give you the opportunity to hear from 4 local changemakers doing extraordinary things in Adelaide and Nationwide, followed by workshop sessions to identify for yourself what issue or campaign
you are most passionate about and to workshop your idea in smaller groups, connecting with others, sharing their ideas and sharing suggestions and support. Program details are below:

Workshop Sessions following the speakers will help you articulate:
When do I feel most alive, useful and fulfilled in this world?
What issue or change am I most pasionate about?
What are my character strengths and how can I make the most of them?
During the workshop session, you'll work alone, in pairs & small groups to explore your ideas and begin to develop them through a facilitated process that involves collaboration and peer to peer learning alongside prompts and discussion generated
by the workshop leader.
As an introductory event, Press for Change will inspire you with a taster for the diversity of forms changemaking can take and begin to explore how it might work for you. Future courses and programs offered by the
School for Civic Action will offer deeper exploration too- so stay tuned and like ourfacebook page to keep in touch and the
