We are raising funds to help launch
OiMei Company.  Here is how we will utilize the funds raised on Startsomegood.




The funds up until the tipping point (2100$), will go towards start up and pre-revenue costs which includes:




- Website launch/domain/operating costs which includes opening and operating our e-commerce shop. (400$)



- Pre-revenue purchase of pillow case/cushion cover inventory  (60% of our cost goes directly to the artisans) (500$)

- Packaging and printing, promotional material (500$)



- Traveling expenses to & from artisan villages for research purposes. To see and understand the process of hand weaving and how supporting the craft helps the overall community. So far we have only traveled within Thailand always using the most economical
method of travel (by train & bus) and cheapest hostels. As a team we've incurred approximately
700$ in total.

The funds raised beyond the tipping point will be utilized for the following:

- Web development services (2500)

- Ongoing web-based sales

- Printing/design of promotional catalogues, in efforts to obtain wholesale opportunities from interested retailers. (600$)

- Pre-revenue courier services. (Oimei Company is going to bring artisan products to the US) (1000$)

- Travel/research expense outside of Thailand. Oimei Company intends to gain exposure for rural artisans around Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Burma, Indonesia, India etc). The art of handweaving is still prevalent in many of these countries and each one has their
own story and weaving techniques. (2000$)

- AND! with help from some truly amazing friends, we've had access to professional photography, graphic design, web development and business advisory services and would like to compensate them for their gracious help!

We appreciate your hard earned money and generousity in supporting our cause. Therefore, we will actively provide updates on our progress and how the funds are being utilized so you can SEE where your money is going.




As we begin to generate enough revenue to sustain our company, any remaining funds will go towards helping us gain access to more rural artisans and bringing their hand woven goods to new markets.
