These adorable siblings were rescued from a hoarding situation. They were undernourished, terrified and covered with fleas. Sadly, their sister did not make it. However, these three not only survived, they have thrived!
Other cats are not as fortunate as these. We would like to change that. We will, with your help.
Who We Are
We are a North Texas group of individuals that strongly believes that all animals deserve love. We started by adopting rescue animals. This grew into rescuing animals ourselves. Along the way, we somehow migrated to caring for special needs animals.
Like people, animals can have personality troubles.

Other animals have medical conditions. Some cured, others managed. These are the ones that are particularly trying at times. Veterinary care can be expensive. Ongoing medication can be costly as well, depending on the condition.

What We Are Trying To Do
The dream is to have a place where special needs animals are welcome. They can come and spend their lives there in the company of other animal friends. They will be cared for by people who look beyond their conditions to the unique loving souls they are.
This is what Needy Beasts Haven will be.
This doesn't rule out the possibility of having one of the residents adopted by a special person who connects with them. However, the focus of the sanctuary is not on re-homing animals. It is on providing them a forever home for as long as they want it. It is a safe place where their individual needs will be understood, accepted and they will be taken care of.
This is what we are doing now. In our own home. At our own expense. We want to expand this effort so that more animals can be cared for, because there are too many deserving souls out there that would benefit from this kind of a place.

How Can You Make A Difference
We realize that we can't continue to operate on our own. The financial costs are too high. With a depressed economy, our struggling means that sometimes the animals have to suffer cutbacks as well, and some of them can't afford that. Waiting until the next paycheck is something we can do, but some of them need medicine or regular veterinary care.
They all deserve better.
Meet Aoife
In order to provide some economic stability for the animals, we need to establish ourselves as an officially recognized 501c3 non-profit organization. This entity would be able to petition for grants, accept donations and have more opportunities for getting funding than we enjoy now.
Becoming a recognized non-profit isn't easy. Or cheap. However, with help, we can establish this organization and secure a more certain future for these deserving animals.
