Welcome everyone to our fundraising page for our church's Hope For Haiti 2017 mission trip. Erin and I believe God has called us to travel to Haiti and work alongside a missionary that runs a successful orphanage and school.
Through the work we do with the youth at our church, we plan to spend a week in Haiti helping to improve the lives of orphans and school children who are part of Lespri's Elementary School. The school's motto, "Jesus, Excellence, Leadership & Service," is dedicated to raising educated Haitian leaders who are in love with the Lord. In addition, we plan on working in the local community through several community outreaches. We'll spend time feeding the hungry, addressing medical needs and building necessary projects at both the school and neighborhood.
With the additional devastation that Hurricane Matthew has brought, Haiti needs the message of hope that the gospel message delivers more than ever! All funds we receive will go directly to support the direct costs of travel, room and board, immunizations, as well as food, building supplies and materials for our school and community outreach. If we're successful in our stretch fundraising goal, we'll be able to provide additional building supplies, musical instruments and sports equipment for the school.
