Each year for the past 10 years, our youth have given a week of their summer to serve those in the greatest need. Coming from Detroit, we know there are great needs very close to home and we work all year to support our local community. One week a year,
we like to expand our view and help those in other communities.
We will be working side by side with members of the community as well as other youth groups from around the country. This gives us a great chance to meet new people and make new friends while we try to help the people of Indianapolis.
$2,200 Tipping Point Goal
We will be using the funds so graciously given to offset the cost of the mission trip.
We have 11 people going and the cost for each person is $269.00. We have been fundraising already and will use the funds raised at our tipping point level to complete our committment to paying the fees to attend the mission trip.
Any additional monies will be used for fuel and expenses getting to and from the mission site and expenses while we are there. For example, in order to get us and our gear there, we will be renting a vehicle because we don't own anything big enough. The
additional money will help to offset those costs that the leaders will otherwise be paying out of pocket.
