Life is What You Make It: Making A Difference in the Lives of Others.
We are eager to host this event, especially in this volatile, uncertain and chaotic time. It is critical to promote the idea that no matter how economically and socially challenging times are, the importance of helping others in need should not be forgotten.
No one is more suitable than Peter Buffett to lead this conversation. He is a man who uses his gift of music to be the voice of people who don't have a voice.
$1,500 Tipping Point Goal
The tipping point funds will be used to market and promote the event. We will use $400 to print, design and distribute 2500 flyers; $750 will be used to secure the venue; $350 will be used for email blast design and mailing services.
The first $500 raised beyond the tipping point will fund the transportation and 10 discounted tickets for 10 high school students from the NYC public school system to attend the event.
This will be an opportunity of a lifetime for the students to participate in a substantive, inspirational and transformative dialogue on Life is What You Make It and learning how to make a difference in the lives of others regardless of your circumstances
in life.
Because the day of the event is Veterans Day, the second $500 raised beyond the tipping will be donated to the Campaign for Vets returning from War to support their re-entry into society relative to their mental health and emotional resilience.
The third $500 raised beyond the tipping point help pay for the videographer and photographer for the event.
