About This Project

Buddy Camp is a summer camp in Salem, VA for developmentally delayed preschool children and their teenage 'big buddies' exploring careers in education. In 2012, the camp lost funding due to statewide budget cuts. In 2013, Buddy Camp was
re-funded and re-named in honor of Jill Bailey Chenet, a former 'buddy', accomplished teacher, loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother-to-be who passed away in 2012.

Our mission is to produce a film for Jill's Buddy Camp, to serve as a fundraising tool to ensure the future of the camp, and on a deeper level, tell a heartfelt story about a beautiful woman, the amazing camp that helped shape her life,
and the overwhelming impact she continues to have on so many people today.

We are seeking your help to partially fund and produce this film.


Our costs include 1 week of pre-production, 1 week of filming at the camp, and approximately 4 weeks of post-production and editing.



 Any additional funds raised above and beyond our target will go directly to add more edit time, better graphics, custom music composition, video color-correction and other finishing options to improve the quality of the final video.  


Please help us share Jill's love and make a difference in the lives of the many children yet to come to Buddy Camp.
