The Awareness Network was formed in November of 2015 by a couple of Montanans who wanted to challenge mental health stigma and promote the treatment of Anxiety Disorders.
FACT: 150,000 Montana adults suffer from an anxiety disorder and forms of depression. However, only 50,000 will seek help for their illnesses because of stigma and lack of quality education and resources.
The numbers are even worse for the 35,000 Montana youth who suffer from anxiety disorders.
The mission of the Awareness Network is simple: educate sufferers and their families about a wide range of anxiety disorders and promote treatments, resources, and support for those impacted. Over the last year, we’ve incorporated with the State of Montana, launched a popular Facebook page and website, and have begun meeting with community leaders throughout the state. Now we want to take this organization to the next level and expand its reach.
