The ASSETS program directly improves the educational and employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. It does this through a challenging science and technology program, which builds
leadership qualities of the students involved. This is followed up by the ASSETS committee in later years where they monitor the students drive towards a tertiary education.
$2,500 Tipping Point Goal
Your support will fund the accommodation and flight costs of the students involved. $2500 will cover one student, which is our tipping point. $5000 will cover two students. If you want to make a difference for
Aboriginal students both now and in the future, we ask you for your support. The follow up processes by the committee allow the learning not to subside but to continue on and help these students achieve their dreams.
$1500 covers accommodation and catering for the students.
$500 covers the return flights from all over Australia.
$500 covers program related costs.
Students are selected on academic merit and an application form which includes letters from the student, respective teachers, and a copy of their report card. They also sit an academic test.
30 students in total are selected based on these criteria.
The two students that this campaign will support will be chosen at the start of the program on 13 December.
