The Do Good Tour
September 13, 2011 - October 20, 2011
Tour Locations and Dates
When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion.
-- Abraham Lincoln
When we reach our tipping point we can cover the minimum costs to make this trip happen. This includes the bus which needs gas and has to look cool ($60,000), equipment and supplies for the good causes ($15,000), and a core staff of do-gooders ($25,000). Additional costs include general administrative ($25,000) and support staff ($25,000). When we reach our total goal, we can do so much more for our causes and make the experience for our do-gooders even better. The more you give, the more good we do!
Do Good ...
The Do Good Bus (a bus promising altruistic adventurism) is partnering with Foster The People to spread GOOD across North America. The Do Good Bus will travel with Foster The People on their 22 city North American tour from September 13th to October 20th, 2011 stopping in each city to fill the bus with local do-gooders. See if we're stopping in your city!
There are hundreds of causes that help our cities, our neighbors, and our friends. The Do Good Bus enables people to support these causes in a fun and social environment. Our local passengers (and fans of Foster The People) will volunteer and promote community by helping local causes and experience a fun filled trip with surprises, all while doing good.
What is a Do Good Bus Ride?
Step 1: Get one really big bus
Step 2: Fill it with some really cool do-gooders
Step 3: Drive to an unknown location (surprises are way more fun)
Step 4: Do GOOD (gardening, soup kitchens, at-risk youth, music education, creating community)
Step 5: Have Fun and Celebrate what we accomplished
Step 6: Practice GOOD off the bus - at home, at school, at the DMV...everywhere.
