Spark* works to enable the genius and passion of local changemakers in some of the poorest places on the planet. This particular campaign is to support John Taka's project 'Seeds of Hope.' The idea is simple:
1. Each village begins a sweet potato farm.
2. They sell the harvest, and the money raised pays the school fees of the children in the village.
This has already worked incredibly well in one village. Now Spark* is contributing one third of the startup costs of getting this project to four villages (the other two thirds come from the community themselves and the profits of the first village).
This is a one off injection of support for this project. Once it is up and running, the project sustains itself entirely.
