Who We Are and What We've Created So Far
This campaign is about leveraging what we have already established. As a partnership with Nangi women's group, we hand make Lokta paper and a range of boutique blank journals. The intention of this is to support the community and most importantly, it's higher
secondary school. In the last 3 years we have trained and employed more than 15 women. We have generated enough funding in Nangi Village to account for the teacher's wages and helped in the building of an eco tourism lodge.
Nangi Village is a success story. Their ideas are authentic and their ability to self assess is like no other.
Our product
In regards to our product, the Lokta is sustainably harvested by which, a plant can be taken biannually without depleting the resource. Harvest season is an opportunity to assess the state of the jungle and is managed by the
local Nangi nursery.
Previously, we have sold in Australian Fair Trade stores, small boutiques and as corporate gifting to Australian companies. Such success has extended to current secured orders, meaning the support of Nangi can continue.
The future
This campaign will enable the capital to fulfill and grow long term market opportunities. White Circles is about supporting, we are choosing to allow our customers to have access to the Nangi resource in the easiest possible
way.
With this campaign, Nangi Village can continue investing into the community, including their local education and women's employment. Keeping the rural area thriving.
