Dear Alumni and other supporters,
LV has identified a very high potential candidate for WCLP'14. This candiate doesn't have her own financial means to contribute the organisational component of program fees.
The candidate is one of the most remarkable applicants we have interviewed.
She is relatively young (mid 30's), and has a CALD background. She works part-time for a Commonwealth government agency for her basic living expenses, and spends all the rest of her time living and breathing leadership in her community.
She is particularly active in progressing the rights of women in her faith community (a substantial faith community of increasing significance in Australia).
In my opinion she will continue her stellar trajectory in Australian community leadership, particularly if she's able to join WCLP'14, and she will benefit our state and our nation greatly. Unfortunately because her formal employed
role is not very senior, her employer won't financially support her WCLP application.
We are asking for donations to the LV Foundation to help enable her to participate.
I personally will be donating $250, and if we can find just 4% of our 1000 alumni to also contribute an average (say) $250, we will have made her WCLP journey possible.
Personal donations are tax-deductible. Corporate contributions can be considered tax-deductible sponsorships and can be acknowledged.
