Supporting those in need has never been so easy...
We all like to support charities that make a significant difference to the world, but it’s not always that easy when we’re trying to pay our own bills and deal with the ever increasing cost of living.
Social Enterprise Ways to Amaze has tackled this issue head on and developed a way for people to donate to charity without even opening their wallet.
It sounds amazing doesn’t it? Almost unbelievable. But luckily for us this is very real, and is already helping numerous charities and communities throughout Australia.
So how does it work?
All you have to do is share a story of kindness on the Ways to Amaze website. It might be something little but lovely that you did for someone you know; like buying your friend lunch at work, giving someone a hug when they really needed it, or surprising someone
on their birthday.
Or, like some of the stories posted on the Ways to Amaze site, it might be a heart wrenching, tear jerker about an act of kindness that you witnessed or were part of. Maybe it was something that someone or even a total stranger did for you.
For every single story shared Ways to Amaze makes a donation to their featured charity of the month. So all it takes is a couple of minutes to write about something kind and you will have helped to donate vital funds to charities and people in need.
Not only does sharing a story inspire others to do the same, but sharing kindness really can change lives.
Making a difference
The funds that have already been donated from this amazing scheme have supported a range of different charities; from those supporting young children with life threatening illnesses, parents who have lost a child, people living in extreme poverty, through to
those raising awareness about diabetes, medical research and prostate cancer. This list of charities and beneficiaries goes on, and we still have to pinch ourselves when we look at how kindness really can transform lives.

Partnerships with like-minded businesses
We’ve told you how it works but you’re probably wondering where the donations made to these wonderful charities actually come from.
For a long time the donations were made by Rebecca Richardson, founder of Ways to Amaze. She wanted to inspire acts of kindness in others and realised that this would be the perfect incentive. But obviously this is not a sustainable solution for one person,
especially if the concept is to grow and benefit as many people in need as possible.
So, Ways to Amaze created a way in which business partners could get involved. The donations are funded from the sponsorship and make the whole scheme viable in the future.
By bringing together communities, businesses, and charities we can all benefit from the amazing act of kindness.
