Sponsor a bicycle and education this Christmas
UbudCycling.BIke is a new social enterprise in Bali aiming at raising funds to buy bicycles this Christmas and be able to offer eco and educational tours to tourists from all over the world.
UbudCycling.Bike is operated by a young Balinese man who - Komang's mission is to create a RIPPLE EFFECT and introduce his tourists to a local school with 150 kids...maybe you are the next person wanting to empower one of those children?
At UbudCycling.Bike we:
**Offer cultural day trips
**Take a holistic approach to empower youth and their families
**Are proud to be a Balinese managed business
**Seek ways to become more sustainable
**Offer English teacher placements at a local school
Komang Indrayana was provided all marketing resources and support in August 2014 to create his local cycling business in Ubud, Bali. Through his business Komang is able to support his family.
Komang is hoping to raise funds to:
- Purchase good quality 15 bicycles, so he can stop renting those for his current tours
- Cover the cost of his study course in 2015. His study will ensure he will learn about a range of important topics and develop important skills needed for successful independent living, such as basic business understanding and financial literacy.
- By learning to become a leader, Komang will be able to initiate big changes by improving literacy skills at the local primary school he studied and is currently supporting by inviting English teachers to commit to programs
Komang's vision is to grow, collaborate, offer memorable cycling tours to guests from all over the world and simultaneously contribute and empower local youth to ensure children and their families have the comprehensive support they need to thrive.
Who is involved in this project?
Joanna Vogeley is based in Sydney. A marketing expert, entrepreneur and a yoga instructor. Joanna has met Komang in January when going on a bicycle tour and Komang shared his dream to study to be able to create a better future. In January Komang worked
for a local cycling company where he made $100 per month. By creating his local business we have taken in consideration his current experience with his past company as a tour guide.
Joanna has created another local business when coming to Australia from Europe www.nannyaustralia.com.au and is currently the co-creator of www.warriorwomenmastermind.com.
