What's the Problem?
Careers education in Australia is just 40 hours out of 11,000 hours in the classroom. Consequently, 1 in 3 young people in Australia are unemployed or underemployed. 1 in 2 lack clear direction in their life. And suicide is unfortunately the leading cause of death amongst young people in Australia.
What we do?
We deliver interactive and evidence-based programs to inform students about the future of
work π and connect students to a mission thatβs meaningful to them π and
consequential to the world.π
Our programs are centred around the student and at their core they are designed to:
- Increase engagement in school: Research has shown cultivating purpose in students leads
to increases in academic engagement in a diverse range of adolescents. - Improve mental well-being: Having purpose increases psychological well-being as it
connects students to the causes that matter deeply to them, giving their life direction. This has
been shown to reduce stress, existential angst, and instances of mental ill-health. - Open up study/career opportunities: Students will be exposed to emerging industries and
future work trends, allowing them to open up their study and career possibilities in a rapidly
changing job market.
How you can help?
We have run programs to over 400 students in five schools, with 100% of students recommending this course and 88% of students feeling more confident choosing a purposeful life path following the program.
We have a goal to reach 2500 students this year in Australia, specifically in low socio-economic areas in Western and South Sydney.
We believe starting this conversation can change a young person's life. And this is why we are asking for your help.
