and collaboratively. The GO Tribe app has the power to change the way we give, and take us from individual givers to a community of connected, strategic, everyday philanthropists.
The GO Tribe launched in January and already the model is working. We are a completely open group of people interested in changing the world through generosity. We focus together on learning about
one issue and supporting one project each month. We give a little, together, to immensely amplify our individual impact. Whether you have $2, $20 or $200 to give - if you're interested in giving to change your world, you can be part
of The Go Tribe.
The GO Tribe Phone App will change the way we give together:
- Seamless, secure, one-button giving from your phone
- Store all Tax Invoices for easy retrieval come tax time (WIN!)
- Quickly and easily see the issue and project we're supporting together that month
- Track Tribe giving progress and impact
- Allow social sharing of Tribe activity to facebook and twitter (optional)
- Tribe givers can drop a pin on the Go Tribe Global map so we can see how far and wide The Go Tribe is spreading (optional)
- Never miss blog updates, articles and announcements
- Make it easier than ever for you to invite your friends to be part of The GO Tribe - the app will be a FREE download from iTunes &Android Play Store
- Help us share the excitement about the impact we can have for people we're never likely to meet when we give a little bit, together!
What we've already done as a Tribe
In January we helped Opportunity International Australia train 7 women (like Nisha, pictured below) to be health leaders in rural India, reaching 1400 families with life-saving education around hygiene, health sanitation and access to toilets.
In February we supported Children in Families in Cambodia to support 5 children to be raised in loving, supported families, and not in orphanages, and to attend school for a year.
Partnerships and Schools
This is just the beginning. We'll continue profiling one local, national and international issue each month and have partnerships with some amazing projects coming up this year.
We are also working with schools and using The GO Tribe issue profiles and collective action model as a basis for running small groups focused on social justice.
We want to get this app into the hands (by getting it onto their phones) of people all across Australia to unite people around the common goal of improving the world through strategic, collaborative giving.
