In the span of 14 months, our education start-up Designing for Social Innovation and Leadership, has received over 600 applications from 80+ countries.
Why this crowdfunding campaign now? We need your support to provide full scholarships to those with high-impact leadership potential and financial need; those who will leverage their 2015 field-based training to accelerate positive change in their local
communities. We believe this creates a multiplier effect that drives sustainable development from the grassroots level.
Your #TAKEDSILGLOBAL investment will send scholars from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas to DSIL programs and provide the foundation for the DSIL community to scale its education efforts all over the world.
Help us expand our network of social impact drivers around the world by supporting entrepreneurs from the grassroots as well as the DSIL mentorship and acceleration journey at the
THNK School of Creative Leadership- an intensive executive program based in Amsterdam with accomplished leaders from around the world.
How is investing in this journey with DSIL making an impact?
We believe that DSIL can accelerate positive global change through human centered, social impact, design-driven entrepreneurs; those who unlock, re-imagine and co-create solutions –with communities. For this reason I have been
working with a talented team spanning the globe on creating a dynamic experiential education program.
Where have we been and where we are going:
- 2014: we launched our pilot across Thailand and Cambodia with over 600 applicants from over 80 countries in two application rounds.
See our amazing alumni and growing community here
- 2015: we are expanding our presence in Southeast Asia to include the Philippines as well as adding a 'Creative Media Lab' in Cambodia.
- 2016 and beyond: we will connect more changemakers to grassroots innovation communities around the world- we have projects scoped for Myanmar, India and Taiwan. We have invitations to develop progamming in the MENA and Latin American Regions.
How is impact driven? See these quick 60 second reflections from 2014 changemaking participants Christopher Kuales from Austria here or Mansi Kakkar from India here

Why invest in DSIL?
Never before has humanity, as a unified collective, had more opportunity to collaborate and drive intentional systemic change- for the greater good. Help entrepreneurs and the DSIL team co-create the most innovative and impactful
learning experience and community for those who strive to generate solutions.
