We are a group of people looking to enhance our commitment to peace, bringing Non Violent Communication to the communities where we work. We believe that is possible to create change through deep listening and transparent dialogue, building a less violent and more united society.
Your help will allow more people from Argentina to get trained in Nonviolent Communication. This training event will take part in Buenos Aires and will span for 9 full days of classes and practice. The training is offered by professional trainers certified by the international NVC society from Germany, Colombia, United States and Kenya.
Many Argentinians want to participate in this training to learn about NVC, but in this moment of crisis, many of them are unable to afford the cost of this 9 full day intensive training.
Can we count on you?
The Problem
Argentina is going through an economic and social crisis where the lack of dialogue between people and the increasing violence on the streets are splitting up our society and causing pain. The violence we’re seeing isn’t only physical- It is also verbal.
Today, it hurts us to see so many people suffering because they are unable to understand each other and communicate effectively.
Why NVC (Non Violent Communication) can help to solve this problem?
Marshall Rosenberg, creator of Nonviolent Communication has given us a different way of relating to one another, a different way of speaking and listening.
With practice, family members start to listen to each other with an open heart. In schools the incidence of bullying is reduced. Conflicts resolution among neighbours becomes easier. There is more room for differences of opinion and for creative problem solving in the workplace.
Words from one of the certified trainers: "Learning NVC has helped me to connect differently to myself and to others as well. I have learned to see beyond the other persons anger and to connect with what hurts, what they need and what they want. And in the same way, I can connect with my own anger as well."
It’s not magic and it’s not a miracle. Its a process and it requires practices. Together we can make life more wonderful.
About the training
An International Intensive Training, or IIT, is a special kind of 'immersive experience' developed by Marshall Rosenberg, uniquely offered through the Center for Nonviolent Communication as part of his legacy. It is a 9-day, residential workshop in Nonviolent Communication, typically including 40 to 70 participants with 3 to 5 international CNVC Certified Trainers.
The IITs are organized in collaboration with a local organizer/host group or individual who organizes the residential venue and meals for the period. The costs vary with each IIT, as they each depend on the costs of available appropriate venues in the location of the event. IITs have been held all over the world; Sri Lanka, Canada, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Colombia, Brazil, the United States of America, Hungary, and Argentina, are only some of the countries that have hosted IITs.
The participants and trainers live, eat, play, and learn together in community during the training, providing real-life opportunities to live Nonviolent Communication over an extended period of time. Participants develop Nonviolent Communication skills and consciousness with the guidance and support of the Certified Trainer team. For frequently asked questions, visit our IIT FAQ page.
