World Heritage Travels 2015
The Start Some Good project is taking talented socially and economically deprived students to travel the world while learning about UNESCO World Heritage site regions. Serenity Expeditions needs proper equipment to film our first global classroom and
tablets for the students to chronicle their experiences.
The
UNESCO world heritage sites are over 640 regions, monuments, buildings and natural resources around the world designated by the
United Nations Educational
Scientific Cultural Organization as culturally and historically significant to humanity. Exploring and exposing these important places is the focus of
Serenity Expeditions, a non-profit cultural organization that promotes educational tours for at risk students and produces travelogues and instructional material for others who travel.

The project will be a yearly 6 week expedition, one week at each location. Students will write and film informative narratives from well structured tours and excursions. Serenity Expeditions' mission is to promote inter-cultural exchange and diplomacy on
film and social media.
Examples of scheduled tours or excursions are: Willemstad City Centre, Curacao, Netherlands

Serenity Expeditions will benefit those involved, but also those exposed to the project can be stimulated by its efforts. The experience for the at-risk students leaving their communities and the country for the first
time will be life-changing. The students will learn how to film, edit and produce their stories of travel. With each location, watching the stimulus provided changes students' lookout on life.
Serenity Expeditions wants to increase tolerance and acceptance of differences amongst people, while improving self-discipline and self-esteem. Filming the interactions of students with their peers of different regions shows others
it's ok to accept differences and similaries of other people.
