Springboard Enterprises (SBE) Australia addresses an economic and innovation deficit by supporting talented female entrepreneurs to reach their full growth potential with the right networks,
coaching, and information needed to become investable companies.
In 2015 we are increasing our Accelerator's intake and doing more to connect our Alumnae network with opportunities for growth in Australia and the United States through qualified introductions, networking events and promoting their milestone achievements
across our network.
To deliver on these ambitions SBE Australia needs to raise $40,000 to cover program and administration costs.
Our Tipping Point will achieve:
***In Australia women represent at least 45% of all new business owners. However, the majority of these businesses stay small, inadequately funded, and local.
***From a purely economic point of view it has been proven that women-led businesses perform better against a range of key financial metrics.
***Yet women aren’t as likely as men to ask for 3rd party investment, start their businesses with less capital and businesses starting with less capital are more likely to fail.
Practically, SBE Australia helps women understand where they can go for investment and provides them with tools & techniques to overcome bias - unconscious or otherwise - when accessing that capital.
SBE Australia has adopted & implemented the highly successful Springboard Enterprises US Accelerator program, which, since its foundation in 2000, has supported over 550 women-led companies raise $US 6.6 billion.
The Springboard Enterprises Australia Accelerator Program incorporates:
***An intensive 2-day Bootcamp of development and knowledge exchange between the Accelerator participant and a national & global expert network of investors, business leaders, sector experts & entrepreneurs to boost the
investment attractiveness of Australian women-led businesses.
***A two-month coaching program during which time a personal advisory network of relevant experts from Australia and the United States is assigned to each female entrepreneur to help refine their investor pitch & make business
connections.
***An Australian Investor Forum following a final assessment of investor readiness.
***Involvement in taskforces to constructively highlight issues facing female entrepreneurs, such as the Gender Funding Gap & developing recommendations to address these issues.
Applications are accepted from a broad range of businesses located across Australia including but not limited to: Biotechnology, Business Products & Services, Clean Tech/Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Digital Media, Financial Services, Fashion Technologies,
e-Commerce & Internet Retail sectors.
