The Ardicare Foundation (now called LifeSpheres) is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we have been working hard these past seven years. Our team is growing and many hundreds of people have benefited from our grass roots, non-medical trauma resolution program.
Our Mission is to build resilience that empowers people to thrive by resolving trauma in peer-communities globally.
We know that by doing a sufficient number of programs, our PeerCommunity CoCare Program can Turn the Tide of Trauma in the communities we reach.
We have be working with the most abundant and most powerful resource there is, people who have experienced trauma. When they work together, healing happens!
Examples of Program Results: Shirley no longer worries that her unhappy childhood will haunt her for the rest of her life. Jessica, who is a survivor of significant child abuse, now knows that she can and will be the mother she wants to be and will raise her son in a safe and loving environment. Jerome, who participated in our program while in prison, is ready, willing, and able to start a new life making positive contributions to his community, knowing that he is worthy of giving and receiving love and respect. Adri has found the peace she's been seeking for decades. Helen has reengaged with the work she felt so passionate about but stopped doing because she'd not been able to move on, burdened by the pain of a devastating childhood. She is bringing the message of hope to her community of people who are working on recovering from addiction. Tom says he has put the past where it belongs, in the past, and is rebuilding shattered relationships and finding that life can be fun, something he had not experienced for a very long time. Jan just wanted to help. By participating in our program, she did! In a big way! Her CoCare Sessions partner's life was transformed. Jan felt great too! These few stories are typical of the experiences of those who participate in our community co-care program.
What We Do: We teach people who have had similar experiences how to be present and listen to each other and we create profoundly safe places where people can tap into their own wisdom and goodness and reclaim their lives. Together they heal. We create the conditions necessary for that to happen.
Why We Are Doing This Campaign: We intend to bring our program to communities all over the world. We are raising funds for programs in Modesto, California. Please support us in achieving this. Your support of this campaign translates directly to support of individuals and communities in Modesto.
How You Can Help: Your tax-deductible donation of any amount will be a way that you can be part of Turning the Tide of Trauma. The more you can contribute, the more we will be able to do. But, please remember, a small amount of money from a lot of people = a lot of money. That would be a big help. So, do what you can and tell your friends and family. Everyone can make a difference and make the world a better place. Do you know someone who is a member of the ACEs Movement (the movement to address and prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences) and who would gladly contribute to an effective program that addresses ACEs? (Do you know your own ACE Score?) Join the movement, make a difference. It takes hard good work and money!
Spread the word and support our effective work.
