In order to encourage the members of our community to choose healthier options, our campaign is designing a coupon book that will contain discount coupons from our partner stores. We will sell the books to general public, but give them away to people who are in dire need of eating habit change. We will also partner with schools and hospitals, as youths and patients are often the ones most benefit from a change in diet and eating habit.
$200 Tipping Point Goal
Our campaign has partnered with four grocery stores that sell high quality healthy foods. In exchange for unlimited coupons from the stores, our venture will pay a $25 monthly fee. This partnership also stipulates a three month commitment, which will be channeled from a portion of the Tipping Point funds. Around $350 of the Tipping Point funds will go into the printing of our coupon books -- we are looking to print about 50 books. Aside from clearly defined and arranged coupons from our partner stores, we will also print out a comprehensive fact sheet to guide our users on choosing foods with substantial health benefits. We plan to give about 15-20 books away to patients at hospital and homeless in a shelter; currently over half of our books are already reserved. Any funds received after the Tipping Point will go towards expanding our partner list. We are looking to partner with a local fitness center for discounted lessons on strength and endurance exercise. Around $150-$200 of the funds receive post Tipping Point will allow us to introduce a six month stipend system. This system will give our team three extern students from a local high school, who will assist us in community outreach and door to door marketing of our coupon book. We will allocate around $100-$150 to partner with our related venture team, Youth Noise. We want share their farm stand at farmers’ market to introduce our coupon book to the market goers. Due to technical issues during the first campaign, funds are being collected by Alex Budak on behalf of the Oakland Dons.
