Introducing Niyakko Rush Soccer Club
Niyakko Rush Soccer Club was created to bring hope and opportunity to the refugee and low-income families in our neighborhood through the game of soccer. How can soccer impact lives? Here's a few ways:
*** Teamwork: Building healthy friendships both on and off the field
*** Discipline: We must respect ourselves and others
*** Family: We look out for each other and grow together
*** Confidence: Tackling the struggles we face doesn't stop when the whistle blows
*** Attitude: We treat our teammates with dignity and humility
*** Stamina: We get back up and never quit
*** Accountability: We own our mistakes and promise to do better
*** Grace: We all deserve second chances
This isn't about soccer
The coaching and mentoring doesn't stop when the soccer balls and cones are picked up. If we can give our players confidence to try again on the field, then it is our goal to empower them with that strength in their daily lives.
*** Encouraging better grades in school and participation in social events
*** Meeting our players needs physically through exercise and when possible healthy meals
*** Demonstrating positive relationships through mentoring and offsite activities
Simply, let's make their lives better
