What I’m doing
My venture will introduce the benefits of meditation to kids and teenagers in schoolroom, group and individually designed classes. I’ve also created some guided meditations for use at home in a fun way.
Let’s empower our youth with the tools that bring calm, focus and happiness. Let’s give them the best start in life!
The Future I am Creating
My dream is a future where:
* Our children will make good choices and not be pressured by the constant clamour of modern technology-based living.
* The alarming number of children around the world presenting with mental health and behavioural problems is reduced.
* Children are seen, heard and encouraged to be all that they can be.
* Younger generations re-capture what we seem to have lost – our connection to the planet, to each other, and to ourselves.
How I am creating it
My own health crisis in 2013 saw my whole life change. It made me re-evaluate everything in my life and brought out my own vision for how I wanted to live.
And meditation was a key factor in bringing clarity to that vision.
With a new lease on life and passion for change, I turned my back on an 18 year corporate career and focussed on building a life that would fulfil me, align with my purpose, keep me healthy, and allow me to give back.
Thus, Tonic for the Soul was born.
This experience has shown me that, more than anything, I don’t want children to wait until they are 40 years of age and in the middle of a health crisis to realise that clarity is found in calmness. And I can show them how to achieve that.
I want to bring meditation to them to build their self-confidence, their resilience and to help them gain a genuine understanding and appreciation of who they are and what makes them different. And then celebrate that uniqueness.
What a beautiful gift to give to our next generations. And you can be part of it.
Where I’m at
I’ve spent 18 months feverishly working on my business, spending every spare dollar to build it up (30k to date, not counting resulting lost-income) – but it’s crunch time. I need an injection of funds to bring some product ideas to life and take them to
the marketplace.
I’ve got some fantastic ideas ready to go and a team of like-minded individuals already assisting with ideas, artwork and music.
