Local Shelter, Animal Rights and Rescue has operated for almost 20 years, finding safe homes for countless animals, but without urgently needed funds, they will be forced to close their doors at the end of the year.
As the go-to organisation for many domestic violence organisations that need to house pets in emergency situations, the closure of this shelter would affect more than just the animals its saves. Trapping vicitms in their homes due to fear of what would happen
to their animals also puts the lives of women and children at risk.
This 'StartSomeGood' campaign is just a small part of the project, hoping to raise at least $5000 by the end of June for the shelter, as a special way to remember stillborn Lucy on her first birthday.
