JCAPP is a group of parents striving to provide a safe after
prom environment for Lindsay High School students. We work all year to raise
funds for an event that teens will look forward to attending. The result is an
after prom lock-in event full of fun and prizes, made safe by parent volunteers
to supervise.
There are many negative statistics associated with Prom season,
including drug abuse, sexual violence, underage drinking, and an increased rate
of fatality accidents. Will you help prevent one of our own students from
becoming a statistic? Peer pressure and parental attitudes influence what teens
do on prom night, and we want to be sure there is a positive, healthy choice
available to them, but we need your help!
In order to host a party that will appeal to a wide range of
youth personalities, we must offer a variety of activities and prizes that will
get their attention. Our estimated cost for this event is $50,000. While we
attempt to obtain prize donations, we also require cash contributions to cover
rentals, food, insurance, and other expenses.
JCAPP is taking action to ensure that our students enjoy a safe
prom night, having fun and making memories that will last for years to come. Any
donation you can offer is appreciated and will help make the 2019 LHS After
Prom Party a success!
