Everybody In Nobody Out
We want everyone to have healthcare. Maybe you do, too. But it's hard to know what one or two people can do to make it a reality in the U.S. That's why we've come up with this campaign so we can all get together to make it happen.
We've done a few things so far:
We produced
The Healthcare Movie.
We attended conferences and set up screenings all over the United States to promote Universal Healthcare.
We even met Michael Moore!
But it wasn't enough.
And then the unthinkable happened.
Laurie was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, and she required two surgeries that would leave major scars on her face. Because we were out of state, the surgeries and tests were not covered by her health insurance.
Like millions of Americans, we had to face not only the trauma of medical treatments, but the stressful and harrowing worry about how to pay the medical bills. This does not happen in any other developed country.
We Can Make A Difference, Together
If you think everyone in the U.S. deserves healthcare, now is the time to join in and RIDE THE BUS TO UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.
The first bus* will travel to visit 8 states to promote and bring national attention to each state’s single-payer healthcare legislation. (Maine, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Illinois).

If you can't come on the bus, we still want you to show the nation YOUR support for universal healthcare. You don't have to actually ride the bus, you can come with us "virtually" by showing your support right here on the Start Some Good

Our campaign has two components:
1. Pay for the cost of renting the first bus (van) holding 12-15 people for 7-10 days and traveling over 1600 miles, including gas.
Dates of travel: September 3, 2013 through September 13, 2013.
2. Promote and maintain a website that tracks the progress of the bus, and collects and displays the names, pictures, videos, signatures, and letters from people across America who support the idea of universal healthcare, and who are “riding the bus” virtually
in support of the Drive for Universal Healthcare (DUH). Create a robust email marketing/communication system to stay in touch with supporters.
