Context:

Having Produced 3 Popular Documentary Films for Norwegian Television - American Producer/ Director Jon Learn set sight on Horses after experiencing the special bond his wife Eva had with her American Paint Horse 'Fargo' - since every time she came back from a ride- she had a big smile and was in a great mood. He set out on a quest around Norway for stories of deep bonds with horses.

They uncovered horses healing powers in the mountains of Norway and at WarHorse - helping a Norwegian war veteran with PTSD by joining U.S. veterans in Saratoga New York. Horse Powers won best trailer, best promo short and best directing (pilot version) at the 2016/17 Equus Film Festival. You're invited to help with the post-production (editing for television) on this 1 hour film.

Together we have the solution:

Show as many people possible on public television (PBS) and national Norwegian TV (NRK) what horses can do for people and how they- through the close bonds with us- deserve our honor and respect as do our veterans defending our freedoms. The TV stations are patiently awaiting the film.

Use Of Funds

$18,000 Tipping Point Goal

Cover costs for the post-production with Emmy Award winning editors to make the film ready for television release - this includes editing, audio mixing, music & image licensing and voice over.

Budget:

  • 3 weeks editing $10,000
  • Audio Mixing $2000
  • Licensing $2000
  • V.O. Talent $2200

10% of goal of 18,000 will be donated to the Saratoga WarHorse Foundation. = $1800

This is all that is needed to make the film complete for TV and get over the final editing hurdle.


$24,000 Stretch Goal

To distribute the film to international film festivals and TV stations beyond USA and Scandinavia. The costs on the stretch budget include formatting the film to TV stations specs and submitting to film festivals to hopefully get awards which attracts more TV stations and streamers like Netflix.

After all, wouldn't it be great if all parts of the world could see a film about the people and horses from Norway on their device?
