I am an immigrant Entrepreneur in Sweden and consultant for governmental organizations on the topic entrepreneurship as a solution for unemployment and social exclusion. Holding an MBA with focus on Strategic Entrepreneurship and a MsC in Sustainability with focus on Sustainable Entrepreneurship. Recently being invited to attend the Neighborhood Economics Summit and co-evolve knowledge and practices to implement the framework in Karlskrona, Sweden.
Realized that a linear program for entrepreneurship will enable one startup at the time to be in the market whereas a systems approach - like the one of Neighborhood Economics - will enable one neighborhood at the time to become more vibrant, wealthier and healthier.
Neighborhood Economics (NE) have developed a successful framework with a systems thinking approach to boost immigrant entrepreneurship and to date they have catalyzed millions of dollars in different cities of US. Will this framework be replicable in Sweden and could it be used as a tool to tackle one of the biggest social challenges in Sweden (unemployment and social exclusion)? What’s the path forward to fund system entrepreneurs in order to create community wealth? Those are some of the question we aim to answer during the summit.
