Mitch is sooo excoited about the YES vote for marriage equality!
Mitch believes that the massive public turnout has given us all a little taster for what Direct Democracy could look like. Now Mitch reckons we should vote on all the big issues - #stopadani #bringthemhere #younameit! Let's take the plebiscite to a whole new level by creating the Direct Democracy smartphone app, all at a fraction of the cost of the $122 Million postal plebiscite.
The Direct Democracy smartphone app incorporates Swiss-style instruments such as the 'People's Referendum' (binding on the pollies) and the 'People's Initiative' (the right of the People to introduce a Bill into Parliament). The app is going to be simple and fun to use - just like Tinder for politics! Who knows, it may even lead to Aussies finally replacing the Queen as Head of State. #aussierepublic anyone?
