Why Alumni?
We have all benefited from the right touch of cult, love, growth and wisdom that is CSL.
An annual scholarship allows us all to make a small contribution to enable the experience for someone else, and remember what it meant for us.
It's a great way to stay connected to the ever-growing CSL network and make connections with those you completed the Program with and many others across the years.
In short, this is a way to share the love and pay it forward!
Why Scholarship?
The fellows of 2014 came out much the same as anyone who has done CSL - wiser, bolder, inspired, enthused and enabled to action real world, positive change. Wanting to pay it forward, the idea of a scholarship was born and delivered on.
The current Alumni Committee are really keen to see the success of the first scholarship replicated this year and hopefully for many years to come!
We all believe in CSL's mission to create social change by influencing tomorrow’s leaders. We feel this is a gift worth giving and we believe alumni from the various CSL years and the wider fan base share this view.
How this works
There is a small committee running the scholarship with the endorsement and support of Alesha Younghusband, General Manager, Centre for Sustainability Leadership and the CSL Board.
We plan to pass the hat around each year to fund a permanent Alumni scholarship.
Contributions are tax deductible and will be used for the scholarship.
A very small percentage of donations will cover the fees of the giving platform and various credit card transaction fees.
If we raise more than needed this year, the extra money will be a starter fund for next year, and so on.
