Cope ST - Help Us Put On Our First Theatre Show!

Hello internet friends!

We would like to introduce ourselves as Cope ST – Kate, Colin and Bjorn. We are a collective of blackfella performers/writers/artists who like to create and laugh.

We’ve banded together to tell our own stories in our own way using different platforms and basically support each other in any endeavor we pursue. We want to tell stories that represent our cracked sense of humour but also create works that represent culturally diverse Australia.

At the end of June we are debuting our FIRST show “One Of The Good Ones”, a theatre comedy set in a dystopian future of space where Aboriginal people are at war with an alien race.

We’ve had support from The Red Rattler, Marrickville Council and The Australian Council For Arts, Hothouse Theatre in Albury-Wodonga and now IndigenousX (thanks guys!). We’re almost finished the script and heading into rehearsals soon.

We want to put on a great, professional show and that means hiring a few people. Unfortunately we haven’t got the funds to do it so we are looking to the scary world of crowd funding to get $2000.

Any more we raise will go towards admin to keep our website running and creating our next show (how amazing would that be!).

Please note, our show is at The Red Rattler in Marrickville (Sydney, NSW) for anyone who gets a complimentary ticket. Travel is not included in the ticket. Sorry! But know you are supporting 3 blackfellas in the arts who will kick arse in your name!

We understand that not everyone has the means to donate (we’re artists after all) but we would be so appreciative if you could share this to your social pages so maybe one of your rich friends can see it!
