My name is Claudio Marcelo Stabile, founder of Compassionate Emergency Energy; an endeavor that began as a result of a scholarship at the Copenhagen Business School’s Social Entrepreneurship module, but has quickly evolved into a powerful current life mission.

The Problem:
Inspired by recent severe weather events throughout the Caribbean and the disruption of electricity generation to the majority of inhabitants of Puerto Rico and significant portions of populations from Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago, I am focusing on providing emergency electric energy solutions to impacted geographic areas and populations during extreme climate occurrences.
Like many Caribbean islands, Puerto Rico generates most of its electricity, as well as its backup electricity, using petroleum derivatives such as diesel, propane and gasoline. Disruption of its electricity generation during severe weather events is paralleled by an equal disruption of transportation. The continued necessitation of refueling during transportation interruptions limits the continuous generation of electricity.
The Solution:
Our solution is a portable wind generator small enough to be distributed to individuals and families during extreme weather events.
