I've just come off the TV show The Voice in Australia, and I'm trying to use the exposure in the best way I can, as quickly as I can which means getting my music out there asap!
5 TRACK EP
OK! So let me break it down!
Assuming everything goes well, I will immediately begin in the recording studio, recording the 5 track EP with Digital Tao Studios - Chris Liddell in Uki, NSW. This will (including mastering cost $3500).

MUSIC VIDEO
While that's off being mastered, I'll begin the video production on the song 'Life' with Digital Tao, Chris Liddell and a team of makeup and hair, film production, choreographer and costume. We are filming in studio 301 Byron Bay which costs $1000 per day
(lets hope 1 day is enough) where we'll take some nice shots of me on the piano, some choreographed moves, artistic glamour shots, mood and emotion filming, then move out into the beautiful cane fields. I

The filming, post production and hire of 301 come to $4500.
DISC DUPLICATION
When the EP returns from mastering sounding beautiful, we send the 5 tracks off to be duplicated by 'Implant Media'. I will only ever produce 500 discs of each album (in this case EP) as discs are a novelty with me, and they will always be signed.
With a Dual case, double sided back insert, 8 page booklet front insert (Front image, welcome and THANKS TO CROWD FUNDERS, 5 pages of lyrics, and back page), black white and gold art on the disc x 500 the quote comes to $1259.50.
SINGLE WITH THANDO (My battle partner from the tv show I was recently in)
While the post production is being done on the music video by Chris Liddell, and the discs are being duplicated, I'll have Thando Fly up to the Gold Coast and we will record a cover of the song 'Clown' by Emeli Sande (this means royalties which we have to
factor into the overdraft section). This will be done in Reel Spirit Music Studio costing $1000, and her flights, accommodation and food will cost $1000 for the 3 days/2 nights.
SUMMARY
I honestly don't see any issues arising. That's the truth. I've spent years of my life preparing for this and thought of every possible scenario.
I might be out of pocket when I'm flying to do home concerts but I DONT CARE :) as long as I get this EP, video and single out with good quality to my fans? I'll find a way. I always do.
In saying that, the one thing that can go wrong is this crowdfunding campaign not reaching the tipping point, then it's back to the drawing board.
