On Tuesday, April 23 at 8:00 AM, students and staff at the Byimana School of Sciences in Rwanda witnessed something terrible -- one of their main dormitories caught fire and burned to the ground. Although thankfully no one was injured, the fire destroyed
all of the 260 student-residents' belongings, including suitcases, clothing, school supplies, mattresses and beds, all of which must be provided by the students or their families.
Each year, the Babson Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy (BELA) in Rwanda is hosted at the Byiamana School. The students and staff graciously allow us to use their facilities day and night to make these programs a reality, and ultimately change the lives
of hundreds of students. As brothers and sisters of the community at Byiamana, we're calling on our friends and fellow members of the Babson community to lend a hand to help the students impacted by this tragedy.
Please join us in helping the community of Byimana rise from the ashes to continue making a difference in the lives of our students, our world, and our future.
