About This Project


Youthconnections.com.au believes in
creating futures that are purposeful, which realise the enormous potential of young people to be
civic, social and economic contributors in their community. But we know there are significant challenges facing young people of the Central Coast region, which threaten a successful transition from education to further training and employment. 



What are the challenges facing our region? 


* Youth unemployment sits at a startling 27% percent.


* One in five families remain jobless in the Wyong Shire.


* Jobless families in the Wyong Shire have often been welfare dependent for two generations or more.  



Youthconnections.com.au has a long history in developing meaningful enterprises that provide work experience, vocational learning, soft employment entry points, mentorship and support to young people. Recently, we have created
All Things Finance, Australia’s first Not-For-Profit Accountants. All Things Finance offers competitively priced, comprehensive book-keeping, accounting and taxation services to individuals
and small-medium businesses on the Central Coast, with all profits being directed back into Youthconnections.com.au and our range of innovative programs.


But we have bigger plans for All Things Finance if we’re to dismantle the insidious hold of unemployment in our region.


We see a huge need to provide an environment where young people can both earn AND learn; where participants can be the beneficiaries of industry-led training and access a workplace environment where they can immerse themselves in work experience. 


So, alongside the All Things Finance agency, we plan to launch the All Things Finance Business College.


The College will engage participants in a learning environment that utilises industry professionals as guest teachers and mentors to ensure that
students are exposed to a professional work-force and culture. Not only will they learn new skills across book-keeping, accounting and taxation, they will have the valuable opportunity to put those skills into practice. 


Students will elect to study Diploma in Accounting and throughout their training, the All Things Finance agency will:


* Provide work experience placements


* Recruit promising graduates of the college. Over 50% of graduates will be guaranteed employment at the completion of their training, a truly incredible employment outcome.







We are confident that the combination of All Things Finance Business College and Firm will create a powerhouse that will foster the learning of aspiring financial professionals in the region and meet a dire need with a sustainable, biodynamic solution.

Use Of Funds

$10,000 Tipping Point Goal


If we raise our Tipping Point Funding Goal, we can create our College:


As part of Youthconnections.com.au, we have our own Registered Training Organisation (RTO). It is our vision to equip our RTO with all the resources necessary to adminster the training. The
advantages of this model are multiple. It means:


* We have full ownership over the management of our College, we write the content and curriculum to ensure that the matieral is 100% community relevant.


* We determine the delivery of the training both on and off-line and can customise it to suit the needs of our students.


* By paying the small cost of registration now, we can make our Business College sustainable. We can keep the costs low for students who will benefit most from our service. And ALL proceeds we gain can be funnelled directly back into assisting young people
and providing them with more opportunities for purposeful employment and training.


To register and equip ourselves to administer the Business College training, we require approximately $10,000. It is a relatively small cost now, to ensure a sustainable future for our College for years to come.


If we raise our Ultimate Funding Goal, we can stretch this vision to it's limits! We could:


* Expand our training, incorporating more work-readiness and employability workshops and more guest speakers from the accounting industry means increased opportunity for our students to network and be exposed to the diverse
career opportunities available to them.


* Provide scholarships to disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk participants to alleviate the cost of the training.
